Robert K. Ross is an associate of the Hamburger Law Firm and practices in the areas of employment and dispute resolution with the Hamburger Law Firm.  He also serves as Counsel with MarketCounsel.

Robert is primarily engaged in employment and business counseling to financial advisers interested in opening their own independent firms.  He also represents securities industry clients in formal and informal regulatory and law enforcement inquiries and disciplinary proceedings before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and state securities regulators.  In addition, Robert also focuses on representing firms and their personnel in arbitrations and litigation, and advises clients on internal policies and procedures designed to minimize the risk of customer disputes or regulatory inquiries.

Robert has significant experience in providing a broad range of litigation and arbitration services to individuals and institutions in the securities industry.  Before joining the Hamburger Law Firm, Robert was an associate with the New York office of the national law firm of Alston & Bird, and, more recently, with a large New Jersey firm.  

Robert is admitted to the bars of New Jersey and New York, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Jersey, Southern District of New York and Eastern District of New York.  He has successfully passed the NASAA Uniform Investment Adviser Law Exam (Series 65).

Robert earned his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his Juris Doctor from the Rutgers School of Law.
