Michael D. Lee
Michael D. Lee focuses his practice in the financial services industry handling a variety of matters involving employment, customer disputes and general commercial litigation before courts and other tribunals across the country. He has handled highly complex matters involving securities, business and commerce, and labor and employment. His experience runs the gamut from counseling and representing a major wire house in the enforcement and defense of restrictive covenant agreements, drafting of employment and separation agreements, obtaining money judgments on employment-related loans, defending employment-related claims asserted by former employees, and protecting the firm’s interests, as well as their customers’ interests, in bankruptcy, divorce and probate matters to defending and protecting the rights of individual financial advisors on various claims asserted against them within and without the industry.
Mr. Lee received his J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1994 and his B.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1991. He is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.
